Among the first initiatives launched by the Bassiri Foundation is a benefit programme entitled Friends of the Bassiri Foundation intended for its supporters. Not just benefits but also the wish to build up an exclusive, personalized relationship with them through the organization of an annual event, an exchange of ideas and proposals for new cultural initiatives along with periodic updates through a dedicated newsletter informing the Friends of the Foundation about events, activities, and aims.
Those joining the Friends of the Bassiri Foundation programme will receive a folder containing 6 photographic images with pencil interventions by the artist. A run of 150 exemplars (50 Arabic, 50 Persian, and 50 Roman numerals) representing the Tapesh: the Golden Reserve of Magmatic Thought cycle shown in the Iranian Pavilion in the 57th Biennale di Venezia in 2017.
Becoming a Friend of the Foundation is a way of sharing the same cultural, artistic, and poetic motivations distinguishing Bizhan Bassiri’s work and of joining a community with a steadfast belief in these values.
